N. Jensen, State Superintendent of Public Instruction In-struction In a letter sent yesterday to school superintendents of the state. Dr. Jensen praised the work being done by the association, which he says has done much to raise the general gene-ral tone of health In the state and among school student. .,., ,.,... The letter follows: "The Christmas season is fast approaching ap-proaching and our minds are naturally natural-ly turned Into channels of service. This wonderful season brings Into the lives of the children incidents that lead to selfishness, or that lead to the spirit of the great master. 'It Is better to give than to receive.' While our school work is always concerned con-cerned with social efficiency, there are occasions when opportunity affords af-fords for special emphasis in this direction. At this particular time the Utah Public Health Association gives that opportunity. "As superintendent, you are well acquainted with the Modern Health Crusade movement, which results in the inculcation of health habits. This movement is fostered by the Utah Public Health Association, as is also that of the Clean School Contest, in which a number of our districts thla year have again entered. The past year the association hat rendered valuable val-uable service In their lectures on disease prevention and sanitation. It has also assisted In the maintenance of health nurses. . "All these efforts and projects demand de-mand the . outlay ' of considerable money.
