Second and third place winners will receive $75 and $50, respectively, and their work will be considered for publication Rags Lehi Arts Council presents its musical theater production of "Rags," the story of the massive influx of Russian and European immigrants at the turn of the century cen-tury into Ellis Island. St. Mary's to hold Easter services The people of St. Mary's Church, Provo, will begin the 10:30 a.m. Family Eucharist with the traditional procession of the choir and people with palms on Sunday, March 31. This traditional observance commemorates the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem when he was greeted with branches branch-es of palm trees on the Sunday before the crucifixion and resurrection. resur-rection. At St. Mary's, after the procession proces-sion into the church, the narrative of the Passion of Jesus will be read from the Gospel according to St. Matthew. This will be read dramatically with different persons throughout the congregation reading the named persons in the narrative. Sunday services at St. Mary's are at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. At both services, the Rector, the Rev. Dr. Alan C. Tull, will be the preacher preach-er and palms will be blessed and distributed. On Maundy Thursday, April 4, the Eucharist at 7 p.m. will celebrate cele-brate the Institution of the Lord's Supper by Jesus on the night before the crucifixion. This is a solemn service which concludes with the stripping of all decorations from the church in anticipation of Good Friday. The day of the crucifixion, called Good Friday in recognition of this act of God's love, will be observed at St. Mary's with the one hour traditional service beginning begin-ning at noon.
