Demos, craftsman ' Deer Were Spooked - But it was Labor Day Weekend and the heavy Influx of tourists, picnickers and hunters from Puffer's Lake to LeBaron put the deer on the spook for the first few days typical of the archery hunt openers in the past. Some in our camp got shots early, but no deer. By Tuesday things- were tapering back to normal and the deer were consistenly located in,favorite areas. And It was Tuesday before our group began to -Into the buckskins.- Art Johnson, a congenial wally-tle guy who really knows his bowhunting, was first to "bring home the hacon." Art dropped his deer with a clean heart shot shortly before gettingour first kicks on a--score-wita bow and arrow.
