Show "M" MEN BASKETBALL. The "M" men basketball team of the SpringviUe Fourth ward captured cap-tured the division championship of the southern district of the Utah Stake league Saturday when they defeated the SpringviUe Second ward by a close score of 11-10. The game was fast and interesting interest-ing until the last minute. The Second Sec-ond ward players were in the lead until a short time before the whistle blew the winners succeeded In forging forg-ing one point ahead. This was the last of a series of games that hove been plnved nt the SpringviUe high school gvm between the four SpringviUe words, nil of which have been close and full of Interest. The Fourth ward will now meet the champions of the Trovo district and the north end district, in competition compe-tition for the pennent, which will be awarded by the M. I. A. Stake board. Those who played for the Fourth ward were Paul Thorn. Lewis Clarke. Frank Cranmer, Ted Hay-mond Hay-mond and Paul Brown. Those representing the Second ward were Earl Groesbeck, Cdar Hutchlngs, Ruel Ashcraft, Fred Bringburst, Karl Crandall and Earl Hutchlngs.. |
