PATRIOTIC MEETING, BF BARBECUE AND SPORTS. ' On the morning of the Fourth of July at Midway, near the Cedar Breaks, 1000 people from Salt Lake City and Tron County were awakened by the booming of cannon, summoning summon-ing them to fittingly observe the 146 birthday of the Independence of the United States. As the sun rose in its majesty over -the peaks of the mountains, tinting in myraids of colors the foliage of the country, Old Glory was hoisted to the breeze -and there waved majestically. The Cedar City band played patriotic patrio-tic and stirring airs which enlivened v the spirits of all and prepared them for the meeting that was held at the camp at Midway, and at which the following program was rendered: Band selection, after which Apostle Richard R. Lyman offered the invocation. invoca-tion. Following another selection by thai band Mayor Neslen of Salt Lake City' spoke on loyalty to country, and local and state authorities, as well as ab-, solute loyalty and support to the ff national authorities. t Mrs. Richard R.
