Show Mrs. R. W. McTavish of Salt Lake, formerly Mrs.- Sadie K. Sell-eck Sell-eck of this,city, visited friends and relatives here, Monday. She came especially to attend the funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Roylance. Mr. find Mrs. Axel Danlclson and sons, spent the past week end at Manti visiting Mr. Daniclsons sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Jay Lowry and family and Misss Thelma Daniclaon. I ' I ' Mrs. Eliza Thorn spent the week end at Payson with her son Richard Rich-ard and family. Members of the Alpha Beta club were delightfully entertained Saturday Sat-urday at the home of Mrs. D. R. : i Wightman. The program consisted of two one-act plays by Miss Naomi ; Broadbent of the high school facul- j ty, and a piano solo by Miss Lenore Condie. Officers for the coming year were then elected as follows: Mrs. George A. Anderson, president; presi-dent; Mrs. F. W. Hoffman, vice president; Mrs. Glenn C. Neill, secretary; sec-retary; Mrs. D. R. Wightman, treasurer; Mrs. E. E. Knudsen, Mrs. Kenneth Condie, Mrs. Clair Johnson, program committee; Mrs. A. O. Packard, Mrs. Arch H. Bird,: Mrs. J. A. Thorn, executive committee; com-mittee; Mrs. H. M. Weight, Mrs. H. T. Reynolds Jr., health committee. commit-tee. At the conclusion of the meeting meet-ing a tasty lunch was served by the hostess. Mrs. Fay Hancock will he host- i ess to her club members at her j home Thursday. Announcement is made this week, of the marriage of Gene Pal-freyman, Pal-freyman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Den-nis Palfrcyman or this city to Miss Nola Higley of St. George. The marriage took place March 11, at St. George, and the young couple will make their home there for the present. Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Crandall and children of Long Beach, Cal., have spent several days of this week as guests of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Cran-! dull and Mr. and Mis. John Burt! in this city. j |
