LEE GREENE RICHARDS ( a childhood friend of Mahonri Young, was also bom in Salt Lake City. He studied art under Janies T. Harwood at the University of Utah, and later in Paris under John Paul Laurens at the Academie Julian and Leon Bonnat at the Ecole Des Beaux ), The artist is especially known for his scores of portrait paintings of state and church leaders, pioneers and fellow artists. Richards exhibited widely and received numerous awards and n in group and exhibits in the United States, France and England. In addition to private art practice, Richards served for many years as asst, lecturer at the University of Utah. HENRY G. KELLER (1869-194was born aboard ship on the Atlantic Ocean to German parents emigrating to the United States. He studied art at the Cleveland Institute of ART AND LATER UNDER Heinrich Johann Zugel of the Royal Academy of Bavaria in Munich, Germany. Throughout his professional life, the artist traveled widely in the United States and abroad. He made a substantial contribution as a teacher, holding positions simultaneously at the Cleveland Institute of Art and the ART Institute of Pittsburgh. Keller won many coveted art awards in the United States and Europe and is represented in many major collections. MAYNARD DIXON (1875-194was born in Fresno, California, where at an early age he developed a deep affection for the Old West and the American Indian. He studied art at the San Francisco School of Design and under Raymond A. Hammond Funeral services for Delbert Carlos Hammond were held Wednesday, July 10 in the Tate Mortuary Chapel with Bishop Joel J. Dunn of the Tooele Fourteenth Ward conducting the rites. Mr. Hammond died July 6th at the Tooele Valley Hospital of natural causes. DOROTHY Turner played prelude and postlude music and Tom Iverson, a grandson of the deceased offered the family prayer.
