Show OBITUARY george heap whose death and burlot burial was chronicled in last ecka w airas was one of 0 earli earliest cst residents ot of this community something of 0 als life will be of 0 interest to our rea ders lie was ion lo I l on o u at council bluffs iowa on marli llari h 1850 the son of wm win and mary alary ward heap hla were born in lancashire england where they accepted the gospel as taught by the latter day saints his fathers first wife hannah ward who was the sister ot of edward ward died while crossing the ocean and he later married her two sisters barbara and mary the litter latter becoming the mother of 0 george they came to parowan carowan in 1853 they moved to california in 1854 but because of religious conditions mary brought her family back to parowan carowan Pa rowan she later married david savage and during the next several years they did a great deal ot of moving about in utah and also spent seven ears in bear lake valley la in idaho george who was only ten at the time they moved to the latter place was sent ahead ot of the family with some other friends to help drive the livestock A heavy snow storm came on shutting hla his people out so go that he spent the winter away from his mother all the flour they had during that winter was ground with a coffee mitt milt mr heap married louisa hollinge Holling 4 head in 1876 ten children were born to them six boys and four girls he also had forty tave live grand children and eight great grand children his wife passed from this life in march 1895 leaving tile the family including a babe only eight days old to his care lie he is survived by two daughters tour four sons five slaters sisters tour four brothers thirty eight grandchildren grand children and q great grand children two sisters mary ellen turner of 0 holden and barbara ot of kingston and their cons sons edgar and clinton respectively and a brother parley savage of coyote were here to attend the funeral A niece from arizona and here daughter were here at the time of his death but as they were t tn I 1 with friends they wait for the funeral tu |
