Show Park Record Thursday, October 24, 1991 Page A5 Police Blotter I k t r X s t ; It was not a quiet week for the Woebegone patrol. There were a series of auto break-ins- several in the Snowcrest condos and Snowblaze condos, and another handful on Norfolk Ave. In addition, two mountain bikes were reported stolen from the Racquet Club area, valued at more j than $600 a piece. According to Park City Police Chief Frank Bell, there have been a .number of incidents involving juveniles this week, including an explosive device left in a building in Prospector Square. Witnesses saw two young boys leaving the scene, said Bell. And he said juveniles were also spotted in the vicinity of the thefts where several thousand dollars worth of stereo equipment were taken from autos. Officers are looking into both cases. In the " knocking on heaven's door "category a woman in upper Deer Valley reported two men knocked on her door, saying they were missionaries and needed shelter for the night. She didn't answer the call and instead called the police who could find no one in the area when they arrived. Meanwhile at a yogurt shop on Main Street, a mother reported her little girl missing. Her well-cultured well-cultured child was found, safely at home. In the resort parking lot officers were called when a suspicious pah-were pah-were spotted in a car. The report stales upon examination the couple were "just talking". Uh huh. A Deer Valley Drive resident reported dogs in an area where dogs had not been before. The officers arrived and found several barking dogs who had, as the report stated, "tree'd a 'coon." Officers explained to the canines it was not hunting season for them and they dispersed. Higher up the hill.on the Aerie to be exact, real human hunters were spotted and reported. They were told they had taken the hunt a little too close to home. And an eagle-eyed officer out in the Silver Creek area spotted a deer in question. The report reads, "Possible game violation. Hunter did leave evidence of sex." Presumably the deer's. An intoxicated male was trying to gain entry into several cars in Swede Alley late one night. Finally officers gave him a ride in their car- to the county jail in Coalville. Numerous warning and citations were issued for speeding in the school zone , and several noisy parties drew the attention of officers as well. There were four separate incidents of spouse abuse this past week, but charges were not filed in any of the cases.
