Show Funeral Held in Soda Springs For Native Of Fairview Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Sunday at 11 a. m. in the Soda Springs, Idaho LDS church for Leslie Stewart, 54, who died Wednesday, November 6 in the Caribou county, Idaho, hospital, following a major operation. Bishop Frank Kunz conducted the services as follows: Opening song, singing mothers; invoca-ticri invoca-ticri J. T Torgesen; song, singing sing-ing mothers; obituary, Bishop Kunz; tribute, Walter Ririe; vocal vo-cal duet, Wilford Dredge and Estell Ririe; tribute, J. O. Wallace; Wal-lace; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Milford Passey; tribute, A. Ira Cox; closing song, singing mothers; moth-ers; benediction, D. K. McLean. Pall bearers were nephews of the deceased. Interment was in 'the Fairview cemetery under the direction of the Whitman fun-neral fun-neral home. The grave was dedicated by Moroni Tucker. Leslie Stewart was born at Fairview, Utah, June 23, 1892. the daughter of Hyrum and Sophie Tucker Stewart. She went to Soda Springs, Idaho, in 1917 where she had resided j since. Miss Stewart clerked in Gor- I ton's store for several years and was elected city clerk in 1925, a position she held continuously continuous-ly until her death. She was an active LDS church worker all her life, holding several important import-ant positions such as ward YLMIA president and stake j YLMIA president. Miss Stewart has a host of friends and relatives in Utah who sorrow at her untimely passing. Idaho, and especially Soda Springs, has lost a stalwart stal-wart citizen and an efficient city clerk. Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Ined Fyar, Preston, Idaho; Joy Stephenson. Kaysville; Laron Norstrom, Soda Springs; Glen iNorsuom, t borne, Nevada; Anetta Lloyd, Pocatello; Orphia May Cornish, Grace and Elma Beck and Leon Norstrom of Conda, Idaho. I |
