Show Desert Range CCC. Camp Notes ; By Marv Smith, Camp Correspondent , Lieutenant Bergstrom Assigned to CCC Camp Einar M. Bergstrom, 1st lieutenant, lieuten-ant, infantry-reserve, was recently assigned for duty to the Desert Range camp. Lieutenant Bergstrom has been active in C C C duty for some time, having served in Wyoming Wyo-ming and Arizona camps. Graduated from the University of Wyoming and specializing in coaching in the field of education, the lieutenant is himself him-self an able athlete. He represented his school in the Rocky Mountain conference in football, basketball and track. He was also a player on the Bisbee-Douglas baseball nine in the Copper league of Arizona. At the last CCC camp where Lieutenant Bergstrom was on duty, he coached the camp to a district championship and cups for both baseball base-ball and basketball in the Huachuca district. At our camp he is acting as welfare, supply and transportation officer. Chaplain Visits Captain Curtis again visited camp and held a procrram of the type that keeps us looking forward to the next one. Transfer Enrollee Jim Merrick, army truck driver, has beon tra.-ferred to the Fort Douglas garage to work as a mechanic on government motors.
