Reese July 2, l.'iv4, since which time she has been a true companion in every particular, always ready and willing to do her part, as a wife, in shouldering a portion of the responsibility of providing for her family. Her greatest desire was to make life pleasant and congenial for others. The happiness and comfort of others claimed her first attention, Self was a secondary conShe never tired in sideration. comfortable. She others making was always afraid that she could not do enough for her friends. Consideration and thoughtfulness for others were strong characteristics of her noble life. It was always a source of pleasure to her to others along the rugged road of life; to pluck from their pathway thorns of care and disappointment, and to drop an encouraging thought, whenever possible, which would inspire the receiver onward and upward ia the cause of truth and right. The worth of such a person as Mrs. Reese, cannot easily be determined. It is extremely diffi-5- 3 cult to place the label of valuation upon her. I am satisfied that the that she has left upon the sands of time will be of immeasurable worth to those, who, perchance, may follow in the same. For hers was a life of honesty, virtue, kindness to all, &Dd of honor and integrity to principles of truth and righteousness. She would sacrifice anything rather than principle. She lived a true Latter-daSaint, she died a true Latter-da- y Saint, and great will be her reward in heaven. The gospel was not merely a theory to her, but it was an eyery day practice. It was always a great pleasure to her to serve the Lerd, She did right, not because he afraid oft fnture punishments, but becanse she loved to do right.
