Show WEEKLY NEWS JOURNAL, NORTH DAVIS LEADER, OCTOBER 15. 1981 REFLEX-DA- VIS OlTOTAI SHE WAS born Sept. 12. 1895 in Kaysville, a daughter of William Hooper and Mary Eunice Robins Blood. She married George Edward Morgan on March 10, 1920 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 14, i938. idency, president of the ward Relief Society and served on the stake MIA board for a number of years. SHE WAS A member of the Layton 16th LDS Ward. Prior to her illness, she was active in Cambridge, Ida. and Mrs. John (Jeannie) Ray, LaBarge, Wyo.; three grandchildren and one brother; Zenas W. Bennett, Syracuse. FUNERAL services were held on Wednesday at noon at the Idaho Falls LDS 29th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Paul R. Boren officiating. The family prayer was given by Zenas W. Bennett; prelude and postlude organ music was played by Carol Beck, who also accompanied the vocalists. MRS. GARDNER was born in Syracuse, the daughter of John James and Florence Norman Bennett on Feb. 22, 1917. She attended school at the Syracuse Elementary School, graduated from Davis High School and attended Utah State University and Weber State College. She married Joseph D. (Jack) Gardner, on Dec. 14. 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. THE COUPLE resided in Blackfoot. Ida. until 1939. They spent the next two years in Brigham City, moving back to Blackfoot in 1942, where they resided until 1956. They moved to Bountiful and lived another two years there. They returned to Idaho Falls in 1959 where they have made their home since. Mrs. Gardner has been an active member of the LDS Church, having served on both ward and stake level. She has served-inthPrimary pres e ALSO surviving are two brothers, Orin Blood and Lyman Blood, both of Kaysville. Funeral services under the MRS. MORGAN was a retired Civil Service worker. She was employed for 21 years at the Ogden Arsenal and the Defense Depot in Ogden. She lived in Kaysville until her marriage. SHE WAS a member of the Idaho Falls Music Club and was Queen of the Idaho Flying Farmers Association in 1959. Surviving are her husband of Idaho Falls, one son and one daughter; John S. Gardner, Mrs. Florence LaVaun Bennett Gardner, of 1438 Three Fountains Drive, Idaho Falls. Ida. died on Saturday. Oct. 3 at an Idaho Falls hospital of cancer. She was 64 years of age. the Relief Society and Primary. She had been a Sunday School teacher for 23 years. Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Rodney Morgan, Malcolm Morgan, Howard Morgan, Newell Morgan, all of Layton: Marcia Morgan, Salt Lake City: 12 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Elizabeth Blood Morgan, 86, of 1057 E. Gentile, Layton died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1981, in the Weber County Hospital in Roy. Family prayer was given by Rex Morgan. Prelude and postlude music was played by George Rytting. ELIZABETH BLOOD MORGAN Remarks were given by Bishop Fred Hansen, invocation by Jack Egan. A musical selection "In the Garden" was sung by Donna, Aulene, Sally, and Calvin, accompanied by Rex Morgan. SPEAKERS were Doyle Egan and Lynn Burton. Another musical selection Gein' Home by the above. Benediction was by Ray E. Adams. Pallbearers were Val Mor- gan, Lynn Morgan. Steve Morgan, Alan Morgan, Gaylen Morgan, Rex Morgan, and Christopher Morgan. LAYTON 16th Ward Relief Society cared for the flowers. Dedication of the grave was by Alan Morgan. Interment was in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. James LaBara of Dallas, Tex. were house-gues- ts for three days of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hartley. Captain and Mrs. Lynn Gal- braith and family of Kileen. Texas, have been visiting the past three weeks with both of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. William Galbraith. frey of Clarkston, had died suddenly with a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thorne attended the alumni celebration for the Tongan People held in Salt Lake City at the coliseum at the fair grounds. They were guests of their Tongan daughter and her husband, Hietonga and Randy Maynes, at the Tongan dance. Dr. and Mrs. Phillip R. Kuna and children of Provo, Mr. and Mrs. DeWayne Thorne attended the golden wedding anniversary open house in Ogden for Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Clark held on Saturday. LaVar Godfrey and family attended the funeral service of his brother, Seth Godfrey, held Oct. 5 at Smithfield. On Oct. 8 he received word that his other brother, Pete God were weekend conference guests of Mrs. Lucile B. Sheffield. They attended a family Saturday after the Priesthood meeting at the home ofBishopandMrs. Beck K. Sheffield in Kaysville. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ned B. Roueche. He was married to Darien Peterson on Oct. II. 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. HE WAS an electronics foreman at Hill Air Force Base. He was reared in Los Angeles. Calif, and had lived in Kavssille the past 24 years. He attended Los Angeles High School and Brigham Young University. He graduated from the West Coast University. HE WAS a member of the Kaysville 13th LDS Ward. He served as ward clerk. YMM1A president and as scoutmaster. He had served an LDS mission to the Northern States Mission. He was a member of the National Rifle Association. He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville. three sons and one daughter. Jay D.
