troubles trouble brou brought c ht on by a kick in the back froma from a cow everything that skill and loving co hands could do was done slie she was the dau daughter ca liter of john and mary alary ann the rho youngest 0 of a family of six all have preceded her to the other s side ide emma emilia thurgood the 0 oldest idest of the family passed away two years ago the Sed burys were a very wealthy family when mary alary ann made known her intention to marry john their gardener she was disinherited and disowned 0 annie was born in hampton worcestershire tm rs hire england en 0 land when a year and a half old her mother died she was left in the care of a stepmother stepmother who proved to be very unkind many times forcing her to eat the food a half sister would would leave was left an orphan at twelve and compelled to support herself which she did for several years by makin making silk gloves in addition saved sufficient means to pay her emigration to the valleys tile the cami tapscott with a 1 company of saints in charge of william gibson john clark and F al M lyman when two weeks out from new york elders dark clark and lyman had to take entire charge of the compa pany the ship was driven many miles to the north and came near being c wrecked principally due to the incompetency of president gibson the they y at once tool took stock of all the companas comp anys supplies they returned to bountiful in tile the spring of 80 they moved to antelope island lived there one year and returned to bountiful in spring of 91 moved to cache valley and in spring C of 90 returned to bountiful where they have to resided since she leaves a husband four sons six daughters and seventeen grandchildren to mourn her loss all were present at the funeral but one son on a mission in maryland and one daughter in kansas city two daughters daughters have her to the other oilier side F for or four years she presided over the west bountiful relief society and last february was chosen for a so second end term in ili this as in all other labors she was very energetic and determined ind and an incle indefatigable fati able worker was very liberal to the cause of god ind and the needy always on oil hand to lo assist the sick and afflicted lad had performed somo some work for ler dead relatives and to continue this work was one of her greatest desires was a kind afkind and indulgent mother a good wife fo ind and a true helpmate the funeral was held monday at the west bountiful mechin meeting 0 house the mourners wore were fAl followed owed by tho the relief society the latter were seated in a body and each wore a bad bado badge O of white satin ribbon with the words in ili memory of annie barlow president of the west bountiful relief society born aug 8 1843 died april 20 26 1901 on her wedding AT day bay among C the floral designs 0 presented by the society was a beautiful harp nearly two feet high made of metal tile the flowers and designs waxed over and tinted in natural colors across the top on wide white win to satin ribbon in dark velvet letters were ivere the words our president abaro im photo of sister barlow in tile con center another about the same size was an offering from lier her children gates ajar made of white everlasting er flowers with the word I 1 mother across the front of arch in dark purple velvet letters the speakers were elders 0 R jones joseph argyle sr john fisher judson tol tolman man susan hyrum and bishop grant all bore testimony to her noble traits of character and of her great desire that all her children and grandchildren remain true and 0 faithful to the gospel and that all her sons and son in laws have the privilege of going on missions also urged her family to eni emulate her good example forty six vehicles followed the remains to their last resting 0 place where all that was earthly of this good woman was quietly laid away in a beautiful brick vault to await tho the morning of tho the first
