Show Vernal Express Wednesday, July 3, 1991 2 1, li fit i fr ,u wf'JH ft nf i m The Vernal Traildusters had it's second of four open horse shows for 1991 on June 15. Over 50 contes-, contes-, tants competed with 220 class entries. en-tries. Ron Randall, Centerville, Utah, judged the halter classes and performance classes. In the weanling halter class, Brett Sabey took first with Chocolate Kisses. In the yearling halter class, Dene Fedeleck took first with Little Sheba; second place was Lee Overholts with Imayellowalice Too. In the two to three year old mares halter class, Channa Witbeck placed first with A Trace of Lace; second was Morris Anderson with Sparkle Utah. In the four and older mares halter class, Tish Clark was first with Holey Sox N Shoes; second was Aimi Boren with GidgiL The grand champion mare was Holey Sox N Shoes shown by Tish Clark and reserve champion mare was A Trace of Lace shown by Shanna Witbeck. In the two to three year old geldings geld-ings halter class, Chris Temples placed first with Just an Irish Doc and Kerri White took second with Josies Bay. In the four and older geldings halter class, Tish Clark placed first with Dakota; second was Forest Hancock with Jackets Dandy. The grand champion gelding was Dakota owned by Tish Clark and the reserve champion gelding was Jackets Dandy owned by Forrest wancocK. In the two to three year old stallions stal-lions halter class, Allen Ogden placed first with I'm Tuff to Impress and Brett Sabey placed second sec-ond with Rumor Has It. In the four and older stallions halter class, Larry Morris won first place with Just a Gypsy Doc. The grand champion stallion was I'm Tuff to Impress owned by Alleni Ogden and the reserve champion stallion was Rumor Has It owned by Brett Sabey. In showmanship at halter classes, Heather Hobbs placed first in the 14-17 year old class; Jennifer Gilroy placed first in the 12-13 year old class; Aubry Young placed first in the 9-11 year old class and Jocelyn Witbeck placed first in the 8 and under class. , In the open English pleasure class, Tish Clark placed first, second was Brett isabey, third was Tammy fifth was Heather Hobbs. Placing first in western horsemanship horseman-ship was Tish Clark in the adult class; Heather Hobbs id. the 14-17 year old class; Jennifer Gilroy in the 12-13 year old class; Jaclyn Gines in the 9-11 class; and Jocelyn Witbeck in the 8 and under class. The first place winners in the trail classes were, Brett Sabey in the adult class; Heather Hobbs in the 14-17 year old class; Kaidee Bullock in the 12-13 year old class; Jadelin Witbeck in the 9-11 year old class and LaDonna Carlson in the 8 and underclass. In western jump, Travis Nielson placed first in the adult class; Kathy Shull placed first in the 14-17 year old class; Aimi Boren placed first in the 12-13 year old class; Aubry Young placed first in the 9-11 year old class and Jocelyn Witbeck placed first in the 8 and under class. The high point rider in the adult classes was Tish Clark and reserve high point rider was Brett Sabey. The high point rider in the 14-17 year old classes was Heather Hobbs and reserve high point rider was Kathy Shull. Jennifer Gilroy was the high point rider in the 12-13 year old classes and Aimi Boren, the reserve high point rider. In the 9-11 year old classes, Jaclyn Gines was the high point rider and Aubry Young was the reserve high point rider. In the 8 and under classes, LaDonna Carlson was the high point rider and Jocelyn Witbeck was the reserve high point rider. The Vernal Traildusters will sponsor spon-sor two more open horse shows this summer, July 20 will be an open show with judged performance classes and timed events; and July 30, the youth members will sponsor an adult-only fun show.
