Show BRIDGE MOUNTAIN CAMP NP-4 Last Saturday night a group of Junior High students and faculty fac-ulty made a journey to the home of CCC Company 9 62, Zion National Na-tional Park and presented a delightful de-lightful program of music, dancing danc-ing and readings. The group, about thirty-five in number, was under the direction of L. C. Miles, Cedar City High School principal. princi-pal. Mr. Miles acted as Master of Ceremonies and introduced the members of the group to the boys in a very entertaining way. The Cedar City party arrived at the camp at 4:00 o'clock and ate with the company at 5:00 o'clock. After taking a hearty meal they took a sightseeing trip in the park and returned to camp to present the program at 6:30. About 175 members of the company com-pany were in attendance and at the close they were unanimous in saying it was one of the best programs ever presented for their entertainment. The second class in First Aid was started on Momfiy night under un-der the leadership of Max P. Schranck, 1st Lt., MCR, Camp. Surgeon. This class will be made up of Park Foremen and some of the companied rated men. After the examination following follow-ing the first course twelve members mem-bers of the company and two members of the Technical Staff received their Red Cross certificates certi-ficates for the standard course. The leaders and aassistant leaders lea-ders of the company have formed a company council and will meet! each Monday night to discus I camp problems and government. J At the first meeting, Leader Eugene Eu-gene Cutler of Hurricane wasi selected as chairman of the; group. j At a fire drill held last Mon-j day night the company turned out promptly and had all the equipment assembled within thirty thir-ty seconds after the first sound of the gong. The convey which arrived in camp last Thursday night brought' $102.00 wortli of welfare equip-; ment for the company. Thi? consisted of baseball and basket-hall basket-hall supplies, golf clubs, and' halls, tennis equipment and many; different indoor games. I . ! Claude Sweeny of Leeds left the hospital here on Tuesday after af-ter spending a month receiving medical treatment. w Mrs. Earle Allen left the hospital hos-pital on Monday recovering nicely from her recent operations. She expects to return to Panguitch the end of the week. Mrs. Ray Bentley entertained the following at a bridge party at her home on Saturday afternoon: after-noon: Mrs. Violet Esplin, Mrs. Clara Whitehead, Mrs. Mary Marshall, Mrs. Martha 'Schmutz, Mrs. Mary McArthur, Mrs. Marge Vance, Mrs. Frankie Grey, Mrs. Zetta Worthen, Mrs Anna Bentley, Ben-tley, Misses Florence Foremaster, and Mishie Seegmiller. High score prize was won by Mrs. Violet Vio-let Esplin and consolation by Miss M,ishie Seegmiller. Miss Seegmiller Seegmil-ler entertained the club last week at her home where high score prize was won by Mrs. Martha Schmutz and consolation by Mrs. Nettie Morris. |
