KANSAS CITY, Mo., April 25. With the Urgent eattle receipts of the season in Chicago and libcnil supplies else here prices were lower today. Here the derline was fifteen to tweu-ty-ticents, taking the market into a new for the year. Trade was dull at the decline. Cows were fifteen to twenty-fiv- e eents lower and under the eight rents level for the first time in several years past. The top price was $7.95 and bulk of sales $7.23 and $8.85. Some Texas sheep and gnats were offered. The best fed sheep and lambs were strong with olhers ower. Receipts today were 15,50(1 cattle, 14,500 hogs and 14,000 sheep. More than 50 per rent larger supplies of cattle at the prinrial markets today than a week ago brought fresh declines in prices. Fal grades were down eents. His bond was fixed at a thousand dollars, which be promptly furnished. re is the Myton Free 1ress version of his troubles: "A Chandler uto was left in Indian Canyou last fall. Tin car was said to have ltecn aliaudoued t lie re in a crippled condition by the man who stole it. A fellow by t'le name of Sheldon from Colorado testified that Timothy induced to claim I he ear and take it to lltlKT and dispose ot it. For a hundred dollars in groceries, whiskey and sofottli he said he sold it to V. K. JohiiM-ii- . The history of the ear after that is quite interesting and is rather hard to follow. Johnson is alleged to have paid Timothy with a bum cheek for three hundred and fifty dollars. He (hen sold it, according to information, to Dry ant Striugham of Yeruul. Next we find it in the possession of a lrice real estate dealer. Then romes the news that Duchesne eounty claims the ear and takes it The latest dope is that still another owner, whose name we have not learned, of Vernal, makes claim, combined supply at the five Western markets. Fat steers predominated there, but here receipts were, fairly well divided between stoeker and fat grades. Early sales to killers were mostly at $7.50 to $8.25. Cows a ml heifers were ten to fifteen eents low er. Yearlings and mixed yearlings were down ten to twenty-fiv- e rents. Veal calves were steady to twenty-fiv- e cents lower. With receipts liberal prices for stockers and feeders were lower. There was a fairly good demand on pasture accounts, hut inquiry from feeders was small. Rejiurta state that the movement of Southwest rattle to Northern grass is well under way. Hog prices declined almut fifteen to twenty-fiv- e rents to a new low level for the year. Tie top price was $7.95 and bulk of Bales $7.25 to $7.85 were forty to fifty eents lower than a week ago, and almut two dollars under the close of last month. The lightweight grades have declined more than the weighty classes, and lackers are taking a larger per rent of the offerings than formerly. Pigs and stock hogs were fully steady with last weeks close at $7150 to $8.50. The first lilieral supply of Texas sheep and goats offered this season were on todays market.. Most of the clipped sheep sold at $0.25 to $6.80 and few goats were sold up to noon. Fed sheep and Iambs were strong to ten eents higher. Top lambs at $10.35 with bulk of sales $10.00 up. Killers appear anxious for fed grades. t UTAHS BEST COAL tt V tt f t t t? ? tft T ? t fT t ? t? tT ft ?' ? f f? Utah Coal Sales Agency t? ?? t?v !
