Stato and local organizations and citizens must unito in placing suitable accommodations in tho region of Utah's scenic wonderland and with theso accommodations installed devel opmenta will be pushed rapidly by tho federal government and the railroads. This appeared to bo the concensus of opinions expressed today at tho conference con-ference of officials called by Director Sephcn T. Mather of tho national park service for deciding on some definito courso of action to pursue in exploiting exploit-ing the scenic attractions of tho state. Mr. Mather proposed that a stato national na-tional park asociation be formally launched. , Tho railroads assumed the premisp that they have thus far given much advertising to Zion National Park, Bryco's canyon, Cedar Breaks and tho North rim of tho. Grand canyon, but they proffered to continue to ox-tend ox-tend this aid in every way possible. However, it was declared that until the stato and Its people seo fit to ca: tablish accommodations near tho attractions at-tractions and suitable roads tho railroads rail-roads can ill afford to ovor-advertiso Utah. Speakers at the convention which opened in tho state capitol this morning with about 100 .off Icials representing rep-resenting tho national park service, the state, the railroads and chrlc bodies bod-ies were of the opinion that good hotels ho-tels are necessary to bring' the tourists, tour-ists, Into the state.
