Show Preparing For Tourist . Travel "The Union Pacific railway company com-pany is doing much to attract the tourist travelers to Utah's scenic wonderland by building bungalows, hotels, establishing bus lines and arranging ar-ranging complete comfort for those who would see some of the best and most attractive scenery in the entire f-'Z west. Many have been employed at the various points and there has been no cessation in the work, excepting for the brief holiday week, and it is expected that by the opening of spring everything will be in readiness readi-ness for the big travel which is bound to flock to Southern Utah." Thus spoke Archie Buchanan, the well known Centerfield contractor and carpenter car-penter to a News man the first of the week. Mr. Buchanan had spent Christmas with his family and was preparing to return to his work. "At Zions National uark," continued contin-ued Mr. Buchanan, The Union Pacific company is erecting 52 new tourist bungalows and in addition to this a large hotel and reception room is being be-ing built at the famous park. At Cedar City, where the company recently re-cently completed one of the best hotels in Southern Utah, a large garage gar-age is being built. The garage will be 190x300 ,feet and will be capable of housing many automobiles. An up-to-date service station will be maintained and all accommodations will be afforded the travelers, which is expected to exceed- any of the previous pre-vious years during the coming summer sum-mer months." - Mr. Buchanan also stated that the railroad company would purchase twenty-five auto buses which would ply between Cedar City and the Zion National park, Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon. |
