It was given by the Salt Lake Opera Quintet, an organization of capable musicians. The one remtining obstacle in the way of a regional football championship for the Box Elder Bees is the team from the Ogden high school. If Coach Earl Fergusons youngsters can defeat the Orange and Black gridders this coming Saturday, they will be awarded the sliver football donated by A. L. Becker of Ogden to the division champions. This game is scheduled to be played at 11 oclock at Lorin Farr Park in Ogden. The students have confidence that if the team plays as it did last Monday it can do nothing but win; the team believes that if it gets the same support it did last Monday, it can do nothing but win. Both the team and Jhe students mean to duplicate last Mondays performance. Every available automobile, bus, truck, and Ford is going to be used to get a crowd of Bee supporters at the game. If the Bees win tomorrows game, i ficient funds with which to complete the ward chapel in time for dedicatory exercises at Christmas time, This splendid chapel, costing approximately $50,000, is now practically completed and the finishing touches are being made. It has been a big undertaking for a new ward, but the members have been liberal In their contributions and success has crowned their efforts. On Wednesday at noon, a cafeteria luncheon will be served the school children and each afternoon and evening luncheon will be served the public. The local luncheon clubs will dine with the Fifth Ward on Thursday during the noon hour. Some of fthe big features of the carnival will be a bazaar, rummage sale, food sale, products sale, fishing pond for kiddies, etc. Special entertaining features will be a free concert lait 8:15 Wednesday night; comedy drama, The Hottentot will be given Thursday night at 8:15, with a jitney matinee for children at 4 oclock in the afternoon. The concluding event will be the big dance Friday night, at which time the radio will 'be given away. Everybody is invited to attend. they are entitled to play the winner of region itwo for the state championship in Class A football. The membership of the Box Elder Society is growing throughout the county in a most encouraging manner. Following the boost given the organization at Union Meeting last Sunday iby President Lee, a visit was made to Honeyvllle on Tuesday Choral evening by Mr. and Mrs. Melville Nebeker and music director William Holmes for the purpose of organizing the Honeyvllle laud Harper Wards. Short talks referring to the purposes and objects of the society were given and definite arrangements made to hold rehearsals there beginning next Funeral services for Jens C. Jensen, this city Sunday, were held at the Third Ward chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2 oclock. Bishop J. Frank Bowring presided at the services which opened with singing, Beautiful Zion, by the choir Invocation was given by President Wm. C. Horsley, and the choir sang, Guide Me to Thee. The speakers were Patriarch Brig ham Wright, Clarence Horsley, Hervin Bunderson of the stake presidency, Joseph P. Burt, Severin N. Lee, Patri arch Denmark Jensen and Bishop Bowring. Between speakers, a duet Home, was rendered by Daisy and Sevena Madsen, and a duet, "Softly Beams the Sacred Dawning, by Mes- dames Morilla Spencer and Callie Kofoed. The closing song, Come, Let Us Anew, was rendered by the' choir and David W. Burt pronounced the benediction. Interment was in the city cemetery, Wm. Hereafter rehearsals for The Holy City will be held at Willard every Sunday at 1:30, except on Union Meeting days, when the entire aggregation willimeet at Brigham City, It is confidently expected that this section of the chorus will produce forty-fiv- e or fifty of the most enthusiastic members of the organiza tion. Regular .rehearsal will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:30 in the commercial club rqoms. All singers are invited to participate in the community enterprise. Flshburn addressed the students of the school on patriotism and ithe World War, explaining the meaning of the Armistice and the attitude of our country towards lasting peace. The program was given in the school auditorium and was very largely attended. $ Will Slice Beets Until End of Present Month HATCHING CHIX Nov. 14. With the sugar factory running at full capacity, slicing about 1500 tons of beets per day, it is estimated' that slicing will be completed by the last of November. The sugar content, according to Manager J. M. Gaddie, is much higher than in past seasons, but the acreage is less.
