Show aIteen day vacation trip The families of W. h. Hayes and J. R. Halllday returned Saturday from a fifteen day outing. Tb trip In. eluded Bryca Canyon with Its wonderland, won-derland, the arnnd Canyon of the Colorado, that masterpiece ot nature which Is located Jn tho massive Kla. bab Forest. , The trip to tho Grand canyon from the Utah sldo carries ono about sixty miles Into this wonderful forest which In all covers a million and half acres. Game of all kind abound "hore as It Is a National Game reserve. Door may bo seen every few miles ot the ride. Two nights our party camped In what Is known as tho V. T. Park within tho forest In the evening, the deer would como in herds to feed in this open park, so that they almost resemblo a herd of sheep grazing and, would como clone to tho camp. leaving this forest we returned to Kunab whore, Sunday was spent. Be. sides tho two families named, the party Included Mr. Wm. Robinson ol! American Fork and his two daughters, Floss and Ida, with tholr husbands and families of Salt Ijaka City, mak. Ing 1C In tho party. At Kanab thero was planned a reunion re-union of the Robinson family, which Included a good share of the Inhab. Itnnts of that place. A watermelon "bust" was given In tho City Park. leaving Kanab we visited tho Ind. Ian settlement of Moccasin near tho famous Pipe Springs In Arizona, tho Indian School at Skookum was also visited where groups of Indian chll. dren w.re gathered around tho little Tillage, This was ot great Interest to the party, especially to the children. The next day was spent in visiting tho famous ZIon canyon. In tho evening eve-ning w drove to the warm sulphur Springs whore a splendid bathing re. ort Is maintained, and wo enjoyed n much needed bath. ' The next day wo visited St. George, Utah's Dixlo, whero a homo coming and carnival was in progress. Whllf at Saint George; Mr. and Mrs. 'Wm. Hayes and their daughter Margaret, hud tho pleasure of being conducted through tho Temple, from bnsemont to Toot, through the courtesy ot David 11. Mr. George Smith of IPlcaRsnt Grove and Mrs. N. A. Lar. Bon of American Fork havo recently erected a suitable monument, over tho graves ot tholr mothor and nunt at St. George. , Tho next night was spent In Cedar City from which points the party in. J tended to visit the Cedar Breaks, but on account of a recent heavy storm which had made the roads to that point nearly ImpaBBablo, Uio trip was not undcrtnkon.' A wonderful hotel Is being erected at Cedar City which covers almost as much space ns the Hotel ITfnh fThe citizens expect tho rail road terminal to be, near this hotol and a great future of this southern city Is anticipated. leaving, Cedar City, tho next night was spent at Fillmoro, tho city which ' f has tho distinction of being the first capltol of Utah. Tho old stnto capl-tol capl-tol building Is still In n good stato or. proserva(lon, At Covo Fort tho party par-ty examined, that old land mark ot Indian war days. Tho walls are still Intact, and tho dwellings within tho groat thick, stonq walls aro still, preserved, sumo of them being still occupied. About ono thousand miles in all was ( traveled and a most enjoyable and, profitable time was spent. ,No acclJ dent marred tho pleasure of the par ty.
