If everybody would do that those occasions would become wonderful spiritual feasts. A good beginning Last Tuesday Judge II. A. Pederson was ever trom Logan holding a of Juvenile Court in this city. The principal case was that of Charles Johnson, a man employed by Mr. Gardner at Dewey ville, who was charged with giving three little boys intoxicating liquor. It was ryited in court that the children went from the school house across the road to the Gardner place to get a drink of water and Johnson came out of the house the family being away, took the children and gave them liquor. When they refused to drink it was testified that he beat them and made threats which frightened the little fellows and they drank. Upon returning to school they showed symptoms of beng ill and upon investigation the trouble was discovered. Johnson was fined $30 and given a lecture by the court. It is presumed he was drunk when he did the act. Some other matters of minor importance were disposed of. Let us take our minds from sordid affairs so that our emotions can vibrate over a sweet romance a romance shining with love and especially with paternal devotion, It is the romance of the maharanee of Kapurthala, India, who is now touch ing these shores with her husband, who was once, and we feel sure still is, her lover. We pulsate rapturously as we read of the substantial proof he gave of his love, and we thrill conclusively when the publicity agent tells us of how dearly her father held her. Strange to say, this lovely Indian princess is, or was, a Spaniard a Spanish dancer. When thn prince of India saw her dance he Immediately fell on his knees and besought her to change her name from plain Anita Delgado to sonorous maharanee of Ka purthala. Dear, old dad objected te baring the fine old Castilian strain grafted on to Oriental royalty and told little Annies glittering suitor tc vamose, which is Spanish for decamp. But instead of folding his tent like an Arab and silently sneaking back to Kapurthala, what did the swart hut spangled lover do? Did he murder the doting Delgado and flee with the pulchritudinous daughter? No. Did he ride off with her like a Lochnivar out of the East? No. Did he Romeo around her dormer window? No. Did he strum a plaintive guitar and induce her to elope by the light of the moon? No. Then what did he do? . Let the news item tell it in its own way; The maharanee of Kapurthala, India, end her husband are visiting In the United States.
