twenty seventh street the evening waa very pleasantly spent in games of various kinds an entertainment at the academy an entertainment by the catholic club a dance and cakewalk cake walk at South wells hall a masque ball and cakewalk cake walk at the union opera house and a dance at the second ward were the events given in honor of st patricks day CARD PARTY prominent among this weeks social events was the joint card party given by the ladies auxiliary to the 0 R C and the B of R T last thursday evening at the K of P hall A pleas anter gathering than the one on this occasion would be hard to find and great interest in the evenings amusement high five was displayed by all at the conclusion of the games the following were given prizes ladles first prize a beautiful vase mrs A C allson
