Show EDUCATIONAL. The Cache Co. [County] Educational Institute met Feb. [February] 14. Roll was called. Minutes of last meeting were read and adopted, S. Oldham was appointed critic for the day's session. Mrs. Molen gave a lesson in geography. Miss I. Langton followed with a selection from Tennyson entitled "Guinevere." Bro. Langton delivered an address on the necessity of more school houses, in a very able manner. Owing to the length of the exercises the rest of the programme [program] was postponed until next session. The critic's report was given in a critical manner. Wm. [William] H. Apperley spoke a short time, showing the necessity of employing the best talent that can be procured to teach the primary schools, also referred to the general absence of Logan trustees from the conventions. He then presented a partial outline of a study to be adopted and carried out at the normal session of 1880. Mr. Carlisle read the "Rules and Regulations of the Cache County Educational Library," which were adopted. The programme [program] for March was read and approved.
