Ricks College Vikings broke through in the second half Saturday to whip. and stay ahead in the Westminster College 34-race for the ICAC crown. 7, by Clark Rydalch, the. The Ralph Hunter and Elred Lauder combination smashed the Parson defenses with sizzling rims off tackle and around end. .Ralph Hunter came up with two of Ricks' TDs, and Eldred Lauder got two more. Gary Rose tallied the Viking fifth touchdown. Hunters first touchdown came in the first period, after a series of ground plays. Hunter took a handoff on the 10 and galloped into the,end zone. In the second period a Westminster fumble set up the scene for Ricks on the Parson line. Rydalch faded, flipped the pigskin to Hunter for 17 yards. Then Hunter swept the ends on three plays and pay dirt. Rose added the extra point, making the score at half time, Parsons 0, Ricks 14. 35-ya- rd In the third quarter the Vikings took a Westminster punt on their forty-yar- d line, returned it to the 50. Lauder, Parkinson, Rydalch ran from the fifty on a series of ground plays to the Parson four. From there Lauder plunged over right tackle for the score. A few minutes later Westminster fumbled the ball, giving the Vikings the ball on the Parson line. In two running plays over the right side of the line, Lauder scored again. Parkinson added the extra points. The final touchdown for Ricks was in the last period. The Parsons couldnt hold on to the ball and Ricks recovered again on the Parson 25. Hamblin passed for 18 yards. Then Gary Rose went over from the 7.
