Recently, the first shipment of high grade ores were allocated to Vitro Chemical Company at Salt Lake City from the Highlander Mine in Virginia Canyon, north of Idaho Springs, Colorado. Current production is at the tons per day. In rate of 30-5excess of 250 tons of low grade ore has been processed at the Silver Spruce Mill in Idaho Springs which is under lease to the Corporation. A 30,000 foot drilling program was initiated' on January 3rd on seven of the Loadstone claims on the Calamity Mesa southwest of Gateway, Colorado. Ore Buying Station Pineco Uranium Drilling On School Section Pineco Uranium Company, in conjunction with another company, is drilling several holes on a 640 acre school section near Milford, it was announced by of J. E. Hurst Pineco. Some of the holes have been drilled to a depth of 420 feet according to Mr. Hurst who added that some assays of samples run .34 per cent. He said Pineco plans to test out the claims to determine the extent of the ore properties. Mr. Hurst also announced exploratory work is going on at Pineco claims in Indian Creek where drifting is taking place.
