But few Salt Lakers know that these programs and other Hansen Planetarium productions have also been enjoyed by millions of people in more than 650 planetariums around the world, including West Germany, Mexico, Finland, Canada and India. The Hansen Planetarium is the world leader in the distribution of star to other planetariums. programs Distribution of some programs is made possible by grants from professional societies, private corporations, and government agencies. No Salt Lake County tax money is used in the distribution of star programs. The Hansen Planetarium is known locally as a place for Salt Lakers to find an affordable mix of entertainment and education. But the Hansen Planetarium is also known throughout the world as Sat. Sun. Lessons will be taught on a prepared track at Wasatch Mountain State Park on Jan. 16, 23, 30, and Feb. 13. Classes will be two hours long, beginning at 10 cross-count- ry a.m. and 1 p.m. Participants must provide their own transportation, clothing, and basic equipment. Cost for the introductory lesson is $6 per person. Classes will be limited to 10 people.
