In the first issue of the paper was published a statement by the Stake Presidency of Sharon Stake in which it was declared that the paper was dedicated to the cause of true Christian cooperation. Although the paper is not now published under the auspices of the Sharon Stake, but is now under the active direction and management of Scera, a cooperative recreational and educational association, it still has the same avowed purpose. Various types of cooperation will be discussed in these columns. It is likely not all of these projects will in the end be found to be practicable or desirable, but it hoped that out of the discussions will come some concrete suggestions which can be put to work. For instance, some discussion has already been had with respect to consumers cooperative An article has also been published on the practical workings of some of Utahs largest It is the purpose of this paper to producers cooperatives. the forth some of the proposed soluset present problems, tions, discuss what other people have done elsewhere in this country and in other lands tp solve similar problems, and to help inform the community on the genera! subject cf cooperation and how it can be put to work to help solve our problems. It is not the purpose of the Voice of Sharon to limit discussion only to one side of any matter which might be the subject of controversey with respect to cooperation, but to present as far as possible boih sides f the question with a frank discussion of the defect as well as the merits of cooperative movements. Hence, in discussing producers cooperatives, consumers cooperatives, health associations, benevolent life insurance groups, and various other activities, it should not be taken for granted that because the matters are discussed in these columns that the Association has committed itself, or is committing itself to any particular project. It may be, after the matters are finally presented with their merits and defects, that it will appear clearly that a project of the type under discussion for the moment should not be undertaken. As an illustration, our readers will recall that some years ago a survey of Sharon Stake was made for the purpose of determining the feasibility of a cooperative for health and hospital benefits.
