Douglas Simpson, president of the state Farmers Union, said an organizational meeting was held with good response from farmers in the Honeyyille area. The Bear River Senior High and Junior High library, rated as one of the most efficient high school libraries in the state, proves itself a busy place. In addition to Mrs. Helen Sev- erson, librarian, 29 student assist' ants each work in the library one period a day helping students with library problems and checking books and magazines in and out. The library boasts a total of 6,970 hard back books and about 750 pocket books. Of this number, an average of about 300 books and magazines are circulated daily. Two hundred hard back books and about 150 pocket books have been purchased since the first of this school year. A traveling science library has been established at Bear River. This new library will receive about 200 books through the year. Fifty books are received at a time and are kept two and a half months per set. Plans for a new library setup at Bear River has been approved when and will be established building plans materialize. J. E. Dieter Advanced to New Position The Head, Administrative Deat Thiokol Chemical Corporation, Utah Division, J. E. Dieter, has been advanced to the new position of Director of Administration, it was announced by John Higginson, General Manager. Mr. Dieter is also serving aa Manager of Finance which has been made his responsibility, but expects to fill this position in the partment hear future.
