There are and possibly three, senatorships in the list, and probably half a dozen places in the house of representatives. Age Limit Fixed The age limit is fixed by law, and least by the voting requuements as at f- -te - ; 21 jeare old. Answering a printing company, which expects to print ballots for the coming November election, Mr. Chez gives his ruling on various questions as to the mechanics of the coming election, which are somewhat complicated by the fact that while there is a regular election on the same day in cities and towns, there would be no election in precincts outside of cities and towns were there no "special general election" next November. Mr. Chez's opinion Summarized, holds: It would not only be improper, but in my judgment it would be illegal, for the county commissioners to appoint election judges for any purpose to act in cities and incorporated towns in the coming Novembr election. It is equally plain that in election precincts or districts outside of cities and incorporated towns, it is the duty of the county commissioners to appoint judges of election as provided by law'. "Municipal authorities may appoint two sets of election judges in the same manner and to the same extent as the aw authorizes the county commissioners to do. (This applies to voting district in which more than 200 votes were cast for the office of governor at the last preceding election.) Press dispatches had erroneously indicated that an agreement had been readied between ITice and Sanpete water users, under which local farmers had agteed to surrender some water rights to the Sanpete project. All users at the meeting declared they had no knowledge of any such agreement and declared emphatically that there was no surplus water available for Sanpete county. It was also brought out at the meeting that State Senator George H. Miller was reported to be representing Carbon water users in the negotiations. this being denied by those San-Hi- e, side of present. A committee consisting of E. K. Olson. Silas Rowley, E. E. Wayman, Price river water commissioner, went to Salt Lake Wednesday, and were advised that Senator Miller had reported there was a surplus in the Price river watershed which could be made available for Sanpete users. The Carbon committee informed Carbon County the official that Miller had n.i selected to represent the and that there w as no surplus cf ter which could be diverted ta L pete. The local delegation Instated that the proposed prr, would seriously impair the r.tj Price water users.
