Show Friday, Summit Members Chosen May 17 was the i day at South Summit High SchoM for the Drill Team to be chosen. Rom 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., 32 yiria cans in and out of the gym hying for a spot on the Fauvine Drill Team. Judges were Cori Reno, of the Jazz Dancers, and Brenda Bergman, from Pep Threads. By 8 p.m., girls were nervously waiting for their phones to ring to hear if they had made the team. Instead, homes w$re invaded by "masked men and women nappers" who took the girls to Drill Team Headquarters (McNeil's), where 24 girls were informed they were now Fau vines. Amid relief, laughter, and excitement - contracts and constitutions were handed out to be taken home and discussed with parents. Food, fun, and friendship were plentiful as plans for the new year woe discussed. This year's team consists of Captain, Stacy Moon; Noel Miles; Alayna Marchant, Tara Jesica Goodworth, Heather Stillman, Stephanie Beckstead, Louder, Marla Henderson, Bethany Mitchell, Cara Airmet, Amberlee Johnson, Katie King, Brandi Parkin, Beau Dee Bisel, Cheri Moon, Brooke Preece, Amanda Olson, Brianne Page, Aleisa Draper, Lynsi Jeffs, Brittany Pearce, Shami Anderson, Megan Foust, and Bridgette Saxton. The team will also be in the Oakley 4th of July parade, and the Fiesta Day's Parade on the 24th of July. The Fauvines will have a "chest full of treasures" they will be selling chances on during the Fiesta Day's celebration. The chest will be on display at Key Bank and at the Princess and Queen Pageants or the melodrama. Mail will be handed off between riders at locations along the ' 2,000 mile route between St. Joseph, Missouri and Sacramento, CA.
