Going to the Samoan LDS mission field are Mr. and Mrs. Alton Bigelow, son Lee, and daughter Uvonne, ' It was just 28 years ago the same month that Mrs. Bigelow received re-ceived her first call to serve in the Eastern Canadian LDS mission where she met Mr. Bigelow who was also on a mission at the same time. He is presently serving in the Fifth ward bishopric and she is in Relief Society. . A farewell in their honor is being be-ing planned for Sunday evening, May 27, in the Fifth ward, the program to be announced. Uvonne will graduate as an honor student from senior high this month and Lee is among the ninth grade graduates. Bigelow Family Leaves Soon on Samoan Mission Alton Bigelow and his wife and daughter Uvonne and son Lee are leaving early next month to do missionary work in the Samoan Islands. Mr. Bigelow has been called on a work mission; his wife as a special representative of the church and Uvonne will be secretary secre-tary to the missionary supervisor. Another daughter LaRee will remain re-main in Springville. The Bigelows expect to be gone between two and three years. They will go first to Suva in Figi and then on to Samoa. |
