Show Camp Sierra Bonita DUP Holds Last Meet The May meeting, and final one until fall for Sierra Bonita camp, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, was held at the home of Sarah Weight. Captain Emma Kennedy presided. Twenty-seven members and two guests, Mrs. Mable Beach and Mrs. Cecil Reid were present. The lesson entitled "Stories of the Mormon Battalion", was given by classieaner, LaRue Walker. She also gave a thought by Jules Mich-elet: Mich-elet: "How beautifully everything is arranged by nature; as soon as a child enters the world it finds a mother ready to take care of it." Fern Bigelow gave the history of her grandfather, Robert Thorn. She also played a piano solo, a medley that her grandfather particularly par-ticularly liked, entitled "Parade of the Union." Little Gloria Hansen favored with two songs, "Let the Sun Shine In" and-"Grandma". She was accompanied ac-companied by her mother. Refreshments were served by Sarah Weight, Laura Clegg, Maud Ferguson and Mable Law. |
