Show LEGIONNAIRES DISCUSS WORK FCRJUTURE A discussion of the problems relative to the winter , outline of work took place Monday evening evening at the regular monthly meeting of the American Legion, post 28, of Springville. R. B. Maughn, first vice commander, presided. A committee was chosen . to make definite plans and arrangements arrange-ments for permanent headquarters headquar-ters to be used by the legion this winter. - Different methods by which the membership might be increased were suggested, and according to ! Mr. Maughn, an invitation is extended ex-tended to all service men to join. A number of new men joined at the -meeting, while others signified their intention of joining soon. It was decided to hold meetings semi-monthly from now on, instead of. monthly, as ;has been the custom. cus-tom. The next meeting will be held December 26 in the new headquarters, head-quarters, the location of which will be announced later. Ways by which the dances conducted con-ducted by the Legion might be bettered bet-tered were also suggested and it was decided from now on to make each a novel affair and have something some-thing new and different at each dance. According to Mr. Maughn it was pointed out that 50 per cent of the people who attend these dances are from Provo. It is hoped that a better showing will be made from now on by the townspeople. |
