Another that she had just been hours thing that you might want Read Or Not Dawn Van Nosdol Letter to the Editor Sincere thanks to consider is installing a permanent generator that is directly wired into your house. I was watching a show about a family and their everyday life, and one of the challenges they had to face was having their power go out on a regular basis. One time they had the power out for two weeks and were forced to move to a motel. They weren't very happy about it. The first thing that they did when they got back home was to go out and buy a couple of generators. They had used them several times since then because they were in an area that the power goes out quite often, especially in the winter. These days they make generators that can be directly wired into your house and will sense when the power goes out and automatically turn on. This is especially good when you are not home and your fridge and freezer might be atrisk.I especially like the generators that run off of propane because you can store a lot of fuel on site and you don't have to worry about getting enough gas to run it when the power is out. Remember that the gas pumps won't work if they are also affected by the power outage. Go figure. I feel very honored to have been chosen the favorite former mayor during the people's choice survey. What was a golden opportunity to serve as the mayor of Spanish Fork in my golden years was enjoyable and rewarding. The interaction with many people from all walks of life that I met as mayor enriched my life. Thank you one and all. Machinery breakdowns add a lot of stress to an already busy time. So while others may be irritated because a farmer is working in his field in the middle of the night and his equipment is a little noisy, to me it's a blessing and one that I don't take lightly. Another joke for this week. The school of agriculture's dean of admissions was interviewing a prospective student, "Why have you chosen this career?" he asked. "I dream of making a million dollars in farming, like my father," the student replied. "Your father made a million dollars in farming?" echoed the dean much impressed. "No," replied the applicant. "But he always dreamed of it." /ht tO<=>/y?<°s) 1 AHHr^cc1 programs. Some of the reports in other parts of the country are very disheartening. They are in a severe drought, while others are under flood waters. There are real shortages of some feed commodities, so I'm grateful that we have hay to cut and bale. Secondly, the baler and the tractor are worki ng. We have no machinery breakdown. There is nothing more stressful on a farm (aside from low prices for our products) than to have a crop ready to harvest and having a tractor, baler, chopper or something else sitting in the shop waiting to be fixed. Then there is the problem of getting the right part that you ordered to fix something. It may take a few the Oil Change Pie Baking Contest Hosted by /Jo/>?<£/? /Jotfi/ia farming practices.
