Scoring was fairly even for the first four places. Gary Tom and Mary Ann Swapp took second with a 77; Ted Atherley and Jean Glazier third with a 78 and Doyle Swallow and Carol Penney shot 80 for fourth. Other local golfers whose scores will not be posted were Owen and Rita Johnson, George Kirby and Ilene Anderson, Tim Carroll and Lynn Bailey shot the lowest score for one hole. They got a 2 on tough No. 6 when Lynn confidently stroked In a fifteen foot putt after a fine drive by Tim. Paul Swapp and Ann Elliott got the booby prize for their fine play. In a driving contest after the tournament, Garth Penney hit the longest ball. Ted Atherley was second and George Kirby was a distant third. There will be some kind of tournament every Saturday throughout the summer so all Interested golfers be there by 10:00 Saturday mornings.
