Nine County Beauties will vie for the Crown. The girls will model bathing suits and evening dresses and give a presentation of talent. Any exhibit entered for competition must have been made, raised, or cared for by the exhibitor. If such exhibit has been purchased It must be the property of the exhibitor for at least sixty days before the Fairs opening day. Exhibits not In accordance with this rule will be accepted for exhibition only. Any person wilfully violating this condition will automatically forfeit any right to receive prize money from the Kane County Fair. 3. The management reserves the right to refuse entry to any exhibit not considered worthy of merit Exhibitors which have won ribbons in previous fairs are not eligible for competition, but will be happily accepted for exhibition only. 4. All cash premiums will be paid by check after the fair. Checks must be cashed within thirty days after they are issued or they will be cancelled. 5. Upon registration, all exhibits will be under the custody of the organization until they are officially released to the owners, 6. Kane Schools Set Opening For All Districts On Tuesday September 4th. Kane County Schols will open their doors for the first day of regular school this year Sept. 4 Following the School is cal- school endar for the 1956-5year. Teacher Institute, Aug. 31sf and Sept. 1st. Teachers meet at various schools September3. First day of school the 4th. and the first term will end October 10th. U.E.A. Convention will be held October The second term begins on October 15. and runs for 28 days ending on the 21 of November, with the Thanksgiving holiday falling Nov. November 26 will be the opening of third term, for 28 days. Christmas holdays begin Dec. 21st with schol .resuming on the 2nd of January, Ending the 11th. Fourth term eonvienes on January 14th running for 30 days to the 22nd of February. Washington day program falls on February 22, and Lincoln day program on the 12th of February. r February 25th opens the 5th term, ending on the 5th of April. The sixth and final term will open April 8th. Commencement at Valley on May 16, and at Kanab on the 17th.. The 17th being the last official day of the school year. Donald R. Keeney, August 10, 1956. Ella Rae is a graduate of the Kanab High School and received her degree from Brigham Young Univerity. She Taught school in Las Vegas, Nevada this past year, and has been employed at Zion National Park In the past summers. Donald R. Keeney Is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Keeney He of Providence, Kentucky. attended the GS.U. in Cedar City, for three years and received his degree and commission from the U.SA.G in Logan, Utah. He too has been employed at Zion National Park for the past several summers, and it now serving in the United States Air Force. |
