KIMBALL WARD The Kimball Ward Jr. did very well in representing the South Salt Lake Stake and Zone 18 in the All Church Softball TournaM-M- en ment. They beat Tacoma 9th Ward by a score of 9 to 8 in an extra Inning by coming from behind on three different occas-sion- s. They won the second game against Denver 10th by a score of 12 to 11. This placed them among top eight teams in the Jr. Slow pitch division of the tournament. They lost their 3rd game to Phoenix 10th by a score to 2 to 6. Phoenix 10th then went on to take the championship. Bishop Beck read a note of thanks from Blaln Galley to all who have worked on the stake farm. He submitted a plea for at least 100 people to be at the farm on either Wednesday or Thursday night with a promise of homemade ice cream to be served at the Ward on Thursday night after returning from the farm. All who went to the farm either night are invited to partake of this refreshi- ng treat.
