Show friday, November SOUTH SALT LAKE HERALD 3, 1961 Adult Comedy Coming to "IT Too Much Federal Spending Could Cost Our Liberty Former President Eisen- A highly entertaining adult comedy is slated to be the next Theaterbill presentation of the University of Utah Theater. The Broadway success, "Majority of One", will be with a presented Nov. matinee on Nov. 11. The play stars Berta Gersten and Barnard Hughes and is directed by Robert Hyde Wilson. The plot involves two adults who fall in love but find there are family difficulties because she is from Brooklyn and he is from Tokyo, Japan. The results are one of the funniest comedies to come off Broadway in recent years. "Majority of One" was written by Leonard Spigelgass who was himself born in Brooklyn. His career as a writer really began to take hold after World War II when he teamed with Hal Wallis to write "The Perfect Marriage" for Loretta Young and "I Was A Male War Bride" 7-1- 1 ; for Cary Grant Then Page fol- such movies as "Mystery Street", "Because You're Mine", "Deep In My Heart", and "Silk Stockings". Most recently he turned out "Pepe" for the talents of Mexico's brilliant funny man, Cantinflas. Throughout the entire New York run of "Majority of One" Berta Gersten stood by for Gertrude Berg in the role of "Mrs. Jacoby" and has since been playing guest star engagements in this role in several of the outstanding summer theaters. Barnard Hughes has many Broadway, movie and television credits to recommend his portrayal of "Mr. Asano." On Broadway he has appeared in "Teahouse of the August Moon" and other plays and last season was soon on Broadway as the Senate Majority Leader in "Advise and Consent." The test is done by injecting a drop of clear fluid, called tuberculin, between the layers of the skin on the forearm. The place on the skin where the test has been made is examined two days later. The test is not harmful and -- . will not scar. All first grade students, whose parents request it, will be given a tuberculin test during the first three weeks of November. Those having a negative test will be given a written report to take home to their parents, and those having a positive test will receive a personal report from the Public Health Nurse. If the test is '. positive it does not mean the person is sick with tuberculosis, but only that some germs have entered the body at one time or another. However, all youngsters showing a posito tive test will have be sure no damage has been done.
