Nancy Accord of Spring City, recent ly elected as Primary president spoke to the sisters, Mrs. Milt of Sterling bore her testimony testi-mony to the truth 0 me work God. and touched on many intereMing suljects. Emeline B. Wells, of Salt Lake, gave the assembled sister a great deal of good advise, touching on many subjects. Pies. Meeling opened at half past ten, Singing by the choir. Praver by bishop Chrisliaiison, Singing, "All hail the glorious day." Almost all who weje present at the Relief Society Conk-rence, remained to the Younif Ladies conference, with some additions in trie way of representations from the young Ladies Branch Associations. Associa-tions. President Christina Willardson made the opening temarks. Miss Dorius, ol Ephrann, acting secretaty, read the Statistical Sta-tistical ..nd Financial report, which show ed that they were in a good povtion. Reports from various wards showed the general standing and condition and were much alike. Mrs A L. Cox reported some important impor-tant missionary work, in Manti, and the excellent tesulis lollowing a peisonai visit to the young ladies at their homes. The time was further occuqied by, M A. Hide, Ellen Matheny, of Manti, Sarah I'elerson, E. B. vVells and Bp. Christiansen. Christian-sen. RELIEF SOCIETY CONFERENCE, Relief Society, Young Ladies, and Primary conference were held.xccording to notice in the Register, at Mavfield on the 19, aoth. just past. Tnere were visitors present from Salt Lake, Mr. Pleasant, Spring City, Ephraim, Manli, Gunnison ai.d other places. Meeting had been opened and Mrs. Olsen, preside.it of the Mavfield ward was addressing the meeting when the ..Isi...va tIU ..nfyrAli,ljlr1 the, people on the fact that a conference was being held in their midst, and a numbei of gentleman present. Spoke well ol the financial condition of their special ward, and the faithfulness of oilrcers and members in the discharge of their duties. Said the hall in which the conference con-ference wss held belonged lo the sisters and was all paid for; and having served lor ten years, and gaining much valuable experience, she had decided if the Bishop Bish-op was willing to resign in favor of some other person, but at some objection had been made to that, if she remained in office, ahe would like to have Dorothy C Christiansen to fill the vacant pl;e as councillor. Bishop Christeusen wis the next speaker. Said it was the fust Relief Society conference he had ever attended. attend-ed. In the ten years that Mrs. Olsen had presided he believed sue had given satisfaction and done a good work. Under hetuidance the sisters had built the house in which the conference was being held, and it was an honor and a credit to them and the town. They were out of debt and besides attendnia to their other duties, such as the care of the poor they still h id wheat onhand.aud a good granary to put it in. The lady wished to resign, and hile he c m ider ed it as honorable to resign, as to accept office, under proper cirrum siannes, he would preler that sue remain ed in the place so honorably filled, as her advice would be valuable. Spoke some further words ol good council, advice, ad-vice, and eucnuragement. The name of Matilda Olsen, (the foi-mer foi-mer president) was put in Humiliation for president, and Dorthy C.Christi.uiseu and lugiy H. Buuderson as first and sec and councillors. The vote was unanimously unan-imously sustained ' Ellen Jakein tu was nominated by sister sis-ter M. A. Hide as Stake secretery, and action taken. Next came the reading of the Statistical Statisti-cal and Financial report for tne s x months ending Sept 1 st. which showed the stake to be in a flourishing condition, condi-tion, Prest. M. A. Hide gave some needed instructions and expressed her good feeling toward the sister, the cause in which thry were all laboring, and her approval of the work accomplished.
