Show THE investigation made in this city a week ago by the subcommittee committee sub of the united states industrial indusi industrial rial commis commission sion resulted in proving several things as far as the mining industry of utah is concerned one of these is that the miners of this state are in a prosperous condition with harmony as a general thing existing in 11 between the mine owner and the miner the employer and the employee in consequence of which state of affairs the necessity of labor organizations and unions are not as great as in other places where the miner is obliged to combine for mutual protection and the enforcement of their rights while it was shown in the investigation that such a thing as a strike of laborers in the mining camps of the commonwealth has been something unheard of for a period of twenty years year s or more it is true that the millennium has not yet come but conditions in utah mining camps would indicate that it is near at hand and it is to be hoped that the present pleasing relations between the mine owner and the man who delves underground will be maintained indefinitely |
