avenue Sunday Sun-day night The midnight visitor accomplished ac-complished his work with all dispatch and made no unnecessary fuss about it He quietly raised the kitchen window lifted out the flower pots and entered the house Thence he proceeded through the diningroom and hall upstairs up-stairs to the bedroom of Mr and Mrs Corey where he appropriated Mr Co rays clothing including a good suit of clothes In his anxiety not to wake the occupants of the room he neglected to take out the contents of Mr Coreys pockets and so went off with a gold watch worth about 75 a chain and charm worth S30 and about S7 in change Besides the suit of clothes a good overcoat and Fedora hat were carried away Either before going upstairs up-stairs or on his return the visitor stopped in the kitchen and took a luncheon lun-cheon setting out some cake and other edibles on the table Exit was made through the window and the window closed down A bank book and other papers were taken from the coat pocket and left on the kitchen table It seems evident that the work was done bv some one familiar with the premises and thus suspicion points to a young fellow known as Will James alias Friday whom Mr Corey had employed em-ployed a few days previous to do some odd jobs about the place and about his place of business The fellow disappeared disap-peared a few days ago but may have been lurking about watching ground that it was secured by misrepresentation Mr Bishop sent in a letter stating that he had never applied ap-plied for a license with Mr Taylor The latter was present but was refused permission
