Show DECEMBER L, 1, 1987 "Obituary L. Hess 7 succumbs F. Faerber 33, of Kingwood, bachelors degree from Weber State College and a masters degree from Thunderbird in International Finance Management. He was employed with First City National Bank of Houston at corporate headquarters in Houston, Tex. He also worked in the London, England office. He served an LDS mission to Mexico City. He was an active member of the LDS Church serving in several church positions including counselor in three bishoprics, high counselor and bishop of the Hyde Park LDS Ward in London, England. Surviving are his widow of King-wooTex.; five sons, Jared Hess, Nathan Hess, Mathew Hess, Benjamin Hess and James Hess, all of Kingwood, Tex.; his parents of Brigham City. Fred Robert Faerber, 59, of 561 Oak Lane, Kaysville, died Friday, Nov. 20, 1987 at his home of heart failure. He was bom Feb. 16, 1928 in Salt Lake City, a son of Fredrich and Gertrude Tachentscher Faerber. He married Gloria Roche June 25, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was reared in Salt Lake City and graduated from South High School. He also graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in marketing. He had worked for the J.C. Penney Company for 15 years. He was owner and operator of the Layton Department Store for 15 years and also owner and operator of Freds Threads. At the time of his death he was the current owner of H&R Block in Layton. He was a member of the Kaysville 4th LDS Ward where he was currently serving as finance clerk. He also had served as stake Young Mens president and stake Sunday School president. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. . Surviving are his widow of W. Warren rites held William Eugene Bill Warren, 28, of Sacramento, Calif., formerly of Layton, died Monday, Nov. 16, 1987 in a Sacramento, Calif, hospital of liver failure. He was bom April 18, 1959, in Ogden, to Robert Dean and Doris Jean Pierren Purser. He was later adopted by Arthur Richard Warren. He married Shana Kay McGowen on June 2, 1979, in Salt Lake City. They were later di- vorced. He had spent most of his life in Layton, moving to California in 1982. He was a member of the St. Rose F. Cook of Lima Catholic Church in Layton. Surviving are one daughter, Billy Jean Warren, Salt Lake City; his parents, Arthur and Jean Warren, Layton; grandmother, Phebe Kra-na- r, Ogden. Also surviving are two brothers rites held Faelyr- Cook, 10 of 507 W. 2700 - S., Syracuse, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1987 at her home of primary pulmonary hypertension. She was bom Oct. .15, 1977, in Layton, a daughter of Glen A. and Deanna K. Miller Cook. She had lived in Syracuse all her life and was a fifth grade student at Syracuse Elementary School. She was . a member of the Syracuse Third LDS Ward. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Nov. 21 for Phillips S. Mabey, 77, of 458 E. 450 S., Clearfield. He died Wednesday, 18 at his home from leukemia. He was bom Jan. 21, 1910 in Clearfield, one of eight children, to Nov, Joseph L. and Margaret Payne Mabey. On July 17, 1941 he married Anne Henich in Preston, Ida. He was owner and operator of the Phil S. Mabey Bonding Company for several years. He had also Kaysville; four sons and two daughters, David M. Faerber, Fruit Heights; Ronald J. Faerber, Sacramento, Calif.; Stephen R. Faerber, Mantua; Mark A. Faerber, Kaysville; Mrs. Evan (Lori) Chappie, Clinton; Holly Faerber, Kaysville; and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and two sisters, LeRoy Faerber, Murray; Mrs. Walter (Ruth) Tous-leKearns; Mrs. LeRoy (Barbara) Lindeman, Salt Lake City. Interment was in the Kaysville City Cemetery. She was bom Nov. 11, 1891 in Kaysville, a daughter of John H. and Drucilla Grace Layton Blood. She married L. Paul Whitesides June 28, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Jan. 30, 1938. She married Clayton Wood Jan. 29, 1942 in Las Vegas, Nev. He died in 1972. She was reared in Kaysville and had lived most of her life in the Kaysville and Layton area. She had lived in Sun City, Ariz. and in Laguna Hills, Calif., for the past 13 years. She attended public schools in Davis County. She was a member of the LDS Church, being active in Relief Society and Primary. She served an LDS Mission to the Northwest. While living in Layton she was active in the program. Surviving are two sons, Lynn B. Whitesides, Rancho Palos Verdes, Alta Jones Stuart Nelson, 75, of 44 Sycamore Circle, Clearfield, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 1987, while vacationing in San Bernardino, Calif., of a heart attack. She was born June 23, 1912 in Dayton, Ida. , a daughter of George L. and Mary Jensen Jones. She married Oliver N. Bus Stuart June 30, 1935 in Logan. Mr. Mabey served at one time as president of the Clearfield Pipeline Company, and was instrumental in establishing current guidelines. He was also a member of the Clearfield City Planning Commission for 16 years, serving as chairman for four years. He was also a member of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, which he was instrumental in organizing. He helped in the establishment of the y system in Clearfield. In 1982 he was named Clearfield Citys Citizen of the Year. He was charter hiember of the Clearfield Kiwanis, a member of the Footprinters, BPOE, the American Legion Post No. 134 and the VFW. He was an active member of the Republican Party, and was an honorary member of the Shoshone Indian Tribe. He worked with the basketball in his youth. Mr. Mabey was an avid for over 50 years, with many state honors and trophies to his credit. He was past president of the Ogden Gun Club, and a member of the Amateur Trapshooting ' ' ,4 Association. He was born April 18, 1954 in Brigham City, a son of Wendell and Elsie Louise Turley Hess. He married Krismas Holliday June 27, 1975 in the Ogden LDS Temple. He graduated from Davis High School, where he excelled in basketball, baseball, football, debate and in other academic activities. He was chosen Utah State Boy of the Year in 1972. He received a P. She was reared and educated in Dayton, Ida. She moved to Utah in 1954. She had resided in Clearfield since 1956. She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1975 after 20 years of service as an office supervisor. She was a member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband of Clearfield; one son George Richard Stuart, Clearfield; two stepsons, Ronald Nelson, Cerritos, Calif.; Melvin Nelson, Ogden; two ste- pdaughters, Barbara Mifflin, Ogden; Lorraine Widdison, Hooper and two grandchildren.
