It is pointed out that with Jones and Kinney on the Tlmps there'll be little chance for a third moundsman, which wouldn't be what Boshard wants. He wanst a regular turn in the box and ought to have it. Boshard is above the Central league average and would fit in fine with Springville or Payson, both of whom are in sore need of pitchers. Other players now battling for places on the Provo team may find regular berths on other teams before the season is far gone, if present indications are right. They will be crowded out of the Provo lineup, and mayi fit holes yawning on other teams. . AMERICAN LEAGUE. Won. host. At first Kallio was disinclined to try Jones again, insisting that he would rather go back to Nebraska and round out the spring season with matches he had in view there. Waino Ketonen, middleweight champion, who refereed the Jones-Kalli- o match, and who was in The Dally Herald office with Kallio. urged 'the welter champion to give Jones a return match. I "All right, if you can hang up a , purse that will make it worth my wniie to stay here lor the time," Kallio replied. John B. Ashton stepped in and of fered Kallio the biggeet purse ever hung up for a wrestling match in Utah south of the capital city. Kallio was guaranteed $500 if he would win from Jones. That bait took the Finn won der, and yesterday he fired his ac ceptance. Kallio will train with Ketonen for the latter's match next Friday night with Dern. ThaB ought to put the Finn in the pink of condition for the Jones match. Kallio complained of the high alti tude here Tuesday. Wednesday morn ing be said that being unused to this high altitude it was difficult for him to breathe after a hard wrestling hour and said that when the chief of police stepped in and called off the match he was nearly ready to give up because of his inability to breathe. With another week in this altitude Kallio ought to be in better shape for Jones. An effort is being made to bring George Barnes back to Provo to help Henry Jones train for what promises to be the premier wrestling match pulled off in Utah county. Barnes is a corking good wrestler and an even better trainer. With Barnes training Jones the Provo grappier has' a fine chance to come off the mat May 2 champion welterweight of the world .
