Saturday night the residents resid-ents of Orem are in for a double treat, when for the first time they will watch last years consolation con-solation champs in action against North Sanpete here in Orem. This will be the first basketball game played in the new and beautiful gym. Many residents who have not visited the new athletic plant will come out to see the gym and see the 1956-57 basketball squad that will represent Orem High in the newly created A division. It Is expected that a near capacity crowd will attend this first game that will get underway Saturday night. Coach Berdeane Jarman feels that he has a better than average aver-age squad and that he will make a good showing against most teams in the league. He has lined ud nine pre-season games, before the Tleers open their league play on Jan. 4th at Price against the Carbon Dinosaurs. Jarman has not lined up any pushovers in pre-season play and the Tigers should be well seasoned by the time the season rolls around. Jarman has cut the squad to twelve men. Sherm Holdaway and Larry Sheriff, vets of last year will act as Co-captains. Larry Johnson, Shirl Finch and Ray Edwards are the other sen iors on the team and have all seen action, in league competi tion and should be the backbone of the Tiger Squad. David Harding Hard-ing played a lot last year and will probaiibly be in the starting lineup with Finch, Sheriff, Holdaway, Johnson and Sheriff. Juniors on the team are Heber Tippets, Eugene Knyston, Glade Clayton, Leo Pledger, Verl Ferguson, Fer-guson, Mike Hoff. Glade Clayton Clay-ton guard, and Knyston at cen ter look very good in practice and will see a lot of action. The Tigers this year are introducing in-troducing a new era in basketball, basket-ball, as they will be playing against A schools, all the boys i are enthusiastic and are anxious to make this first year a good one. With the A schools stag ing a sixteen team tourney this year the tigers should have a ! very good chance of reaching the A tourney. Pre-Season Nov. 30 Moroni at Moroni. Over Sensitive Nerve System Creates Many Annoying Symptoms The feeling of ' nervousness-despondency, nervousness-despondency, irritability, in security, and many other vague nervous symptoms can be created by an over-sensitive nervous system, It is regrettable to think that few believe that anything can be done foi them if they .- are troubled I C with these dis-, orders. Theyjf blame it com-"' pletely on sit- y nations and jjwi predicaments. The o ver-sensitive ver-sensitive nerve system senses things too acutely; it exaggerates exagger-ates the strength of stimuli and acts accordingly. This sick type nervous system is tense and intolerant. For instance noises which in health we disregard dis-regard become annoying. Even the ticking of a clock, the slamming slam-ming of a door, the noise and pace of traffic, ordinary conversation, conver-sation, will cause unreasonable disturbances. Relaxation and complete rest is nigh impossible. . Yet if it is understood that oversensitive systems play an important part in the development develop-ment and maintenance of these disorders, it will well be understood how Chiropractic is applicable in these conditions.
