SLATE ANNUAL WORKSHOP Orem Stake Priesthood and Auxiliary organizations have combined to hold their second annual workshop for the purpose of considering some fundamental principles of teaching1. This workshop work-shop will be held on the evenings of February 9th and 10th at the Lincoln High School. Beginning at 7:30 p.m., the workshop will be held for three hours. During the first hour the officers and teachers will listen to a talk, then they will senarate into appropriate groups for practical prac-tical work. The third hour will be devoted to a slide lecture the first night and a faculty meeting demonstration dem-onstration the final night. The theme of the workshop will be "How can we best Improve the teaching, the supervision, and the facilities for our priesthood and auxiliary organizations?" Wed nesday night the speaker will con sider "Evaluation of the Teacher." Thursday night the talk will be on "Supervision In the Priesthood and Auxiliary Oganizations." Executive committee members of the workshop include LeR L. Ross, chairman representing the Sunday School; Wilford P. Lee, Advisory Chairman; Dean B. Farnsworth, Priesthood; Marvin Meldrum, YMMIA, Winnie Graff, Relief Society; Fern Coleman, YWMIA; Alta Rowley, Primary; and G. E. Childs, Music. Members of the attendance and registration committee include Edward L. Pyne, Sunday School; Fay Johnson, Priesthood; Bernlce Louder, YWMIA; LaDell GUI-man, GUI-man, YMMIA; Katie Schroeder, Primary and Maude Holdaway, Relief Society. Among the speakers will bei Henry L. Isaksen of the Sunday School General Board and a member of the BYU faculty; J. C. Moffltt, Superintendent of the Provo District schools; and Wilford Wil-ford D. Lee of the BYU faculty. Twenty - nine boys received special recognition in the form of a certificate and book at an elaborate elab-orate banquet for the Aaionlc Priesthood boys and their mothers moth-ers in the Orem Stake, according to Fay R. Johnson, high council member in charge of the affair. The banquet was held Friday in the Orem First-Vermont Ward chapel. A new record in 100 per cent attendance awards was set by these boys as only 11 qualified the previous year. Special speaker for the affair was Jay De Graff of the MIA General Board. Following a ,talk by President Walter Holdaway, a-wards a-wards were presented by M. Dover Do-ver Hunt He also presented the "traveling" trophy to the Wind sor Ward for having the most boys receiving the awards. Mr. Johnson John-son was emcee for the program. The ballance of the evening was spent In watching a series of fascinating hoop dances perform ed by Indian students from the BYU who were dressed in native costumes.
