Some young men, m continuance of a play, disturbed a public meeling of our Scandinavian brethren, and insulted brethren, anil even sisters, while returning to their homes. After an impartial examination by the court having jurisdiction in the case, two of the offenders were sentenced to publicly confess their wrongs; and, further, each of them was required to cut up a cord of wood for tho public. Editor Ji xction: Thinking that you and your readers in the northern part of the Territory might be interested in this part of thecountry, I take the privilege of sending you this note, Peseret is situated about thirty miles northwest from Fillmore, on the Sevier river, in which a substantial dam has been placed, supplying plenty of water. We have thousands ef acres of good land subject to and homestead laws, or farms can be liought from parties living in Fillmore at low prices ready improved. We have to go about ten miles for fire wood, but we have any amount of it at that distance. Sunday meetings are largely attended, as is also our Sunday school and Young Men's Mutual Improvement meetings. All we hick to make this a s place is more good honest workingmen, and here is the place where they cm make themselves good homes. There is plenty of room for a large number of settlers, and a cordial welcome is extended to any number, large or small. We have a weekly mail, with good prosand it is pects for a thought that the Utah Southern Railroad will pass through or close by this place. If any one will put up a good grist mill here he will be doing a favor and make himself rich, as we have to go to Fillmore for our grinding, a distance of thirty miles.
