The said Assessor and Collector, then presented Auditors, County Treasurers and School Trustees, receipts show ing that he had made full settlement with the proper parties lor all taxes assessed and collected by him for the year 18S8. The said Assessor and Collector representing that he had been to considerable expense in Assessing transitory heids for this vear and asking the Court to advance jiiui J300 ?n his.. salary dor Grace the Cletk was daected 0 issue a warrant for the said $300.00 and cnarge to the account of the said Assessor and Collector. The report of John Bariovvmnn, fish and game comm.ssioner, showing that to the best of his know ledge no violation of the law had been perpetrated since his appointment, was read and on motion of Selectman Booth said report was approved. The petition of John Adams and Sons asking for a reimbursement of $180.00 was taken up and reconsidered and it having been represented to the Court that the contract had been strictly complied with on the part ol the County, the same was disallowed 011 motion of Selectman Booth. The matter of compensation of Isaac Grace, County Supertendent of Schools r the year 1SS8 having been bi ought to notice, upon clue consideration it was moved by Selectman Rasmussen that $100.00 be appropriated to hun for services for said year. Carried. The matter of compensating Hon. Chas. Foote, probate Judge for his valuable services rendered in the interest of the County during the last Six months was duly considered and on motion of Seectman Booth the sum of $200.00 was appropriated to the Honorable Judge f ,r such set vices. Mice having been given the Court that a note tor $2000.00 iu possession of the Fust National Bank against the County was due Feb. $5. 1SS9, on motion of Selectman Grace tlie Court executed1 a note for $1000.00, due in six monihs fiom Feb 5, 1S89 and the Cleik was diiected to issue a warrant for the 1000.00 in favor of said Bank to redeem said $2000x0 note. The Cleik was also directed to issue a wairant for $60 00 appropriated for interest prepaid on note f oi $rcoo.co. Claims of Utah, Tooele, Sanpete, and Wasatch counties for half the County taxes cf 1SS8 on certain transitory herds, having been filed and presented to the Court, Selectman Rasmussen moved that the s ime be referred to the Prosecuting Attorney for examination correction and negotiation for settlement. Sullivan ot Eureka having filed claims in certain criminal cases, which claims after due consideration were thought to be exhorbitant and unjust atul on motion ot Selectman Rasmussen, were referred to the Prosecuting Attorney. Quarantine Physician, presented a bill for $6140 for medicine to paupers, etc. Said bill was dulv audited by the Court and thought to be extremely exhoibitai.t and on motion of Selectman Rasmussen the same was reduced to $30.00 and it was ordered by the Court that the said M.
