I hope that by stating what happens to melody in jazz to make it jazz will clear this denial up somewhat. All songs in jazz are made up, basically, of tne main theme, the first part of tne work you hear; a break, which sepr arates the theme from the bridge, (that part where solos andor improvisations are heard), and then a return to the main theme to finish out the song. We will take each part individually and 'arrange' it to different musicians. In the main theme, a number of things so that at certain parts he willplay way, because every time a musician plays, the song will sound differently than the last time ne played it.
