Elder Quarnberg son of Clinton and Donna Quarnberg has been called by Pres Spencer W Kimball to serve a mission for the LDS Church in Dearborn Michigan His farewell testimonial will be held in the Scipio Ward on Sunday Sept 9 1984 at 12:50 pm Flu shots and other clinics scheduled for September in Fillmore Flu shots will be given at the Senior Citizens Building on Monday Sept 17 from 10 am until 12 noon They will also be given Wednesday Sept 26 at the Public Health Office from 9 am until 12 noon These shots are only for people over age 65 and there will be a small charge Immunization be will There clinics held Sept 11 and Sept 25 from 9 am until 12 noon The monthly Blood Pressure Clinic will be Tuesday Sept 11 from 1 pm until 4 pm These will be at the Public Health Office on the north side of the Senior Citizens Building in Fillmore The blood pressure is free of charge but there is a 12 charge for each immunization given You can’t say that little kids are having all the fun this summer Some of the Pahvant Valley (East Millard) Senior Citizens are getting their share too They are a bunch that like to go places and do things On Aug 10 of them traveled on their bus to Vivian Park near Provo and boarded the Heber Creeper railroad train for a few hours of fun and nostalgia The four passenger cars were crowded with happy laughing people of all ages cars and They sat in the enjoyed the beautiful scenery and listened to the whistle of the train heard the rumble and clacking of the It was like wheels on the tracks going back in time to other years when the trains were the main source of travel and always fascinating because of their size and power Arriving at the depot in Heber City most everyone got off to stretch their legs and patronize the little ice cream parlor
